## 1. MISSION STATEMENT AND OVERVIEW

DeeTa (Dental Equipment Engineers Trade Association) is an emerging initiative being developed to support and strengthen dental equipment engineering across the UK. Developed with input from experienced engineers and industry partners, DeeTa aims to create a practical and trusted framework for the profession.

*Target launch:* *1 July 2026* (subject to development progress).

## 2. CORE OBJECTIVES AND DELIVERABLES

DeeTa is being developed because dental engineering plays a critical role in the safe and effective operation of dental practices, yet there is currently no unified framework or recognised benchmark across the industry. DeeTa aims to help address that by encouraging greater consistency, shared knowledge, and long-term support for engineers and the practices they serve.

What DeeTa will aim to deliver:

* Clear, practical guidance around equipment installation, servicing, and support
* A platform for shared knowledge and technical discussion
* Structured training and development opportunities
* A recognised point of reference for dental practices
* Greater consistency across engineering standards

## 3. INDUSTRY COLLABORATION AND GOVERNANCE

DeeTa is being developed with a collaborative approach, with conversations underway across the dental industry to help ensure it is built in a way that is practical, credible, and sustainable. The target launch date for full operations is set for *1 July 2026*, subject to development progress.
